The 12th AB Lifosa Sports Games solemnly closed

During the solemn ceremony at Šušvė (Kėdainiai district), a rural tourism homestead, the winners, prize-winners and participants of the twelfth inter-workshop games of the limited liability company AB Lifosa were honoured.

Cracking first place

The members of the Phosphoric Acid Workshop team have - according to tradition - become the champions of the Spartakiada, where 230 employees of the company competed this year. This time, the "phosphorus team" just barely beat the athletes of the Mechanics Workshop: by only half a point in the final ranking.

The joint team of the Aluminium Fluoride and Railway Transport Workshops won the third place.

Sporty employees from the Sulphuric Acid and Energy Workshop teams were only a step away from the medals. Team members of the joint team of the Amophos and Economy Transport Workshops were fifth, while the company's management team ended last - in sixth place.

From karting to rope pulling

This year, AB Lifosa's Sports Games consisted of eleven events. The company's employees accelerated on the karts, turned their heads to the checkers, checked the accuracy of their hands by shooting darts, tried to figure out who is faster by swimming, and played bowling and billiards.

There were also the traditional team sports - volleyball, basketball, table tennis and dodgeball competitions.

The winners of the seven-month AB Lifosa inter-workshop games were eventually decided by the eleventh and last game: the gradually "tamed" rope pulling competition.

Monetary fund is €6,750

Not only did the teams get their cups, their members also split cash prizes. The value of the checks was based on the positions taken by the teams in the inter-workshop AB Lifosa games - €1,950, €1,550, €1,300, €780, €650 and €520 respectively.
