Scientific work of the young Lifosa specialists will help to improve the plant's operations and production

A traditional scientific-technical conference was organised at Lifosa, a phosphorus fertilizer production company established in Kėdainiai, where the works of young specialists of the company were presented. The jury recognised Živilė Stirbytė, the calculator of the aluminium fluoride workshop, who prepared the work “Aluminium fluoride granulation” as the winner.

The works presented at the conference, which has been organised for fourteen years, are prepared by young Lifosa specialists in cooperation with experienced AB Lifosa and chemical industry specialists. According to the organisers, such an initiative both helps the development of employees and benefits the company.

“We are happy to have motivated young creative specialists who are interested in the future of the company and whose insights and proposed solutions help to improve Lifosa's business processes and production. The ideas presented every year and the quality of the prepared works testify that a generation of top-level specialists is growing in the company, which helps to strengthen the company's position in the world and successfully ensure the continuity of Lifosa's operations,” comments Rimantas Proscevičius, General Manager of AB Lifosa.

This year, the second place in the competition was awarded by the jury to two specialists: Gintaris Barkauskas, a mono-ionic phosphate production operator, who prepared the work “Increasing the productivity of the MAP technological production line”, and Rokas Žilinskas, a complex fertilizer production operator who studied the changes in the physical properties of diammonium phosphate granules during transportation.

The winner Stirbytė will represent the young Lifosa specialists at an international conference, where the work of the participants will be evaluated by the top-level EuroChem group management commission. Participants of the event have the opportunity to present their works at the group level, get acquainted with the top managers and employees of other group companies and gain invaluable experience.
