Social Activities

AB "Lifosa" Personnel Policy. To evaluate each employee's contribution to the successful activity of the Company and encourage social activity among personnel. The Company's management supports the activities of different clubs by establishing conditions for employees to improve their skills and achieve established objectives. The Company pays much attention to young specialists and does not forget the former plant workers. Furthermore, it patronises public organisations managed by AB "Lifosa" employees.

The Club of Young Experts

In 2005, an initiative group of young specialists established the Club of Young Experts. The members of this Club are pro-active specialists under 35 who are not afraid of taking challenges. All the specialists of this Club have higher education.

The goals of the Club are to encourage social and professional integration of young specialists and give them an overview of AB "Lifosa" policy, strategy and working culture requirements.

The Club of young and active people is engaged in public and voluntary activities. The members improve their skills.

Each year, in May, the Young Experts organise a scientific-technical conference. During this conference, the Young Experts present innovative proposals to the Company's management. The authors of the best works receive money prizes. The most rational proposals are implemented in the Company.

Each year, the members of the Young Experts Club organise excursions, cooperate with young specialists from other companies and go for apprenticeship at "EuroChem" companies.

The Young Experts are engaged in voluntary activities such as the traditional spring cleaning event annually organised by the Club in Molėtai, where the vacation houses owned by AB "Lifosa" are located. The Club cooperates with Kėdainiai M. Daukša Public Library. On Children's Book Day, the members of the Club organise the campaign "Donate Books for Children". The Young Experts invite all AB "Lifosa" workers to join this campaign.

Furthermore, the Club contributes to the traditional Company's festivals and events. For example, it helps to organise the event "Chemists' Days" and the Spartakiad (i.e. inter-department sports competitions).

The Veteran Club "Lifosietis"

The veteran club "Lifosietis" started its activities in December, 2006. The club has more than 130 members. Every "Lifosa" (former Chemical Plant) worker worked in the Company for at least 25 years can become a member of this Club. The Club activities are financed by AB "Lifosa".

The Veteran Club activities include meetings, get-togethers, trips, excursions to the theatres and concerts. The former Company's workers annually visit at least five most beautiful places in Lithuania and take part in different cultural events. Furthermore, the excursions to other countries are organised once a year. The veterans have already visited Poland, Czech Republic and Austria.

The Club "Lifosietis" communicates with other seniors clubs in Kėdainiai district. Together they participate in different festivals and organise get-togethers.

The Christmas event gathering of all the members of the Veteran Club has already became a tradition.  One more nice tradition is to get together once a month in the afternoon to celebrate the Club members' jubilees. All the Club events are registered in the Chronicle.

The Club activities are organised by the Board that consists of seven members; the Board is led by the Chairman.
